Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL Pro Bowler and sports broadcaster, was arrested on charges of domestic battery by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. Court records confirm his arrest, and he is currently being held without bond.
No further details have been released about Wiley’s arrest. This incident aligns with earlier reports of allegations, with a recent Rolling Stone article citing accusations of sexual assault by four women in April 2026.
Ex-NFL Pro Bowler Marcellus Wiley faced arrest and was charged with domestic violence during a Fourth of July incident, according to court documents.
Wiley, 51, had also faced previous legal challenges where three women filed suits accusing him of raping them during his time at Columbia University, where he played football. On his podcast, More To It with Marcellus Wiley, he denied these claims and mentioned having evidence to refute what he described as “alleged misrepresentations.” Wiley labeled the allegations from his time at Columbia as “B.S.”
Annemarie Wiley, Wiley’s spouse, was a former star on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The Rolling Stone article highlighted allegations from two women who claim Wiley sexually assaulted them between 1995 and 1999. Additionally, another woman alleged Wiley’s grooming since the age of 13, during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills. She asserted that Wiley raped her on her 18th birthday in Dallas after flying her there while playing for the Cowboys.
“Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13,” the victim stated, asserting she was referred to as ‘little momma.’ “If Columbia had properly pursued the complaints… I would never have been groomed and raped.”
Furthermore, an ex-production assistant at ESPN claimed that Wiley deceived her into joining him in a hotel room for a work meeting in 2009. During that encounter, she alleged sexual assault.
“The assault was devastating to me, and I will live with the effects to this day,” the fourth woman disclosed in court records.
Annemarie Wiley accompanied Marcellus Wiley to a basketball game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies at Intuit Dome on December 15, 2025.
Wiley’s professional football career began when he was selected as the 52nd overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, where he played for four seasons. His career highlight was earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2001 with the San Diego Chargers, where he shone for three years. Wiley also played for the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars before retiring in 2006.
