Rep. Randy Fine, R-Fla., emerged victorious in the Republican primary for Florida’s 6th Congressional District. He navigated a crowded field and weathered intense personal attacks throughout the campaign. The Cook Political Report rates the district as solidly Republican.
Fine defeated notable opponents including businessman Manuel P. Asensio, challenger Aaron Baker, retired U.S. Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Charles Gambaro, and social media influencer Dan Bilzerian. Bilzerian, in particular, launched antisemitic attacks against Fine during the campaign.
Fine entered the race with significant advantages. He had strong fundraising capabilities and secured the endorsement of President Donald Trump, who described him as a “MAGA Warrior” in October 2025.
Fine quickly established himself as a vocal supporter of Israel and advocate against antisemitism since being elected to Congress in a 2025 special election.
Prior to serving in Congress, Fine served in the Florida House and State Senate, where he became known for his work on school choice, immigration enforcement, and efforts against perceived harmful ideologies in schools. His colleagues dubbed him the “Hebrew Hammer,” a nickname he embraced as Florida’s only Jewish Republican legislator.
Social media influencer and businessman Dan Bilzerian posed a notable challenge with accusations and controversial remarks. Known for his playboy lifestyle, Bilzerian has faced criticism for his antisemitic comments and conspiracy theories targeting the Jewish community.
Bilzerian’s campaign included derogatory remarks against Fine and a provocative AI-generated ad targeting him. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., condemned the video, stating, “The vile attack ads against Congressman Randy Fine are disgusting and should be condemned by all political leaders on the Right and Left.” He emphasized that antisemitism has no place in American politics.
Fine’s victory positions him for the November general election in a district expected to remain Republican. His political experience includes eight years in the Florida House and leadership roles in the State Senate.
