Hayden Panettiere had a tumultuous relationship with Brian Hickerson, which recently took a tragic turn. On Wednesday, police in Greenville, South Carolina, visited a home linked to Brian and Zach Hickerson. This came days after Hayden Panettiere’s passing, and officers aimed to conduct a welfare check, although there was no response at the door.
Police cars appeared around 8 a.m. and again at 10 a.m. that day. Fox News Digital contacted the Greenville Police Department but did not receive immediate comments regarding their visit.
Police conducted a wellness check at a South Carolina home linked to Brian and Zach Hickerson on August 19.
Hayden Panettiere was discovered deceased in Greenville on Sunday. Zach Hickerson informed the authorities that at the time of her death, she was in a relationship with his brother, Brian. Brian was present at the scene when Panettiere was found unresponsive, as noted in a police report acquired by Fox News Digital.
Their relationship had previously resulted in domestic violence charges against Brian, which led to his conviction. The report indicated that both Brian and his brother Zach called 911 once they discovered Panettiere’s condition. Following their call, authorities interacted with the Hickerson brothers and executed a search warrant at the residence.
Previously, Hayden had been involved with Wladimir Klitschko, but she and Brian met through mutual acquaintances in 2018. Brian originally worked in real estate in South Carolina before moving into acting, including a minor part in the 2017 film “M.F.A.”
They split briefly in 2022 but renewed their relationship afterward. Zach corroborated to police that Brian had been Hayden’s partner up until her death. Leading up to this event, Brian faced legal issues connected to domestic violence involving Panettiere, including multiple charges and arrests between 2019 and 2020.
In 2021, Brian was sentenced after pleading no contest to two felony charges related to domestic violence. In exchange, other charges were dismissed due to a plea agreement.
After these events, Panettiere spoke publicly about her experiences, aiming to support those in similar situations. Her public statements reflected her commitment to preventing further harm by sharing her story, urging others to seek necessary support.
Days before her passing, on August 13, Brian appeared in a Los Angeles court attempting to have his felony charges reduced. However, the court dismissed these efforts. This instance marked his second attempt to reduce charges, following a court appearance in July.
This complex and tragic chapter highlights the lasting impact of her troubled relationship, now marked by her untimely passing.
