Jen Psaki Criticizes Trump’s New Press Secretary

Former Biden White House press secretary Jen Psaki recently criticized President Donald Trump’s new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, after her first White House briefing. Psaki raised questions about Zacharia’s legal qualifications, citing reports suggesting her admission to a state bar couldn’t be confirmed.

Psaki questioned Zacharia’s credentials during her show, ‘The Briefing with Jen Psaki’, hinting at the possibility of Zacharia being a ‘potentially fake lawyer’. She argued that Zacharia should clarify her legal standing.

Zacharia countered the critique in a statement to Fox News Digital, affirming her experience in international transaction law and her educational background. The White House press office noted that Zacharia earned her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University in 2011, a detail backed by the university’s statement.

Pepperdine President Jim Gash, who collaborated with Zacharia during her time at the university, expressed his support and pride in her appointment, hoping she would use her skills and experience in her new role.

Alongside Zacharia’s defense, Republican National Committee spokesperson Natalie Baldassarre criticized Psaki’s television career. Baldassarre argued that Zacharia is a dedicated Trump supporter and an effective communicator, deserving commendation for her performance.

Psaki expressed discomfort with Zacharia’s delivery during the press briefing, referencing her previous familiarity with Zacharia’s predecessor, Karoline Leavitt.

After the briefing, Trump praised Zacharia, noting approval of her performance. The White House issued a complimentary statement regarding Zacharia’s debut, emphasizing her remarks on the administration’s agenda and media access.

Trump’s administration highlighted Zacharia’s strong introduction and the extensive media coverage following her briefing, underscoring their record of achievements.
