Authorities have arrested eight individuals living in a Kentucky residence in connection with a child abuse investigation involving seven victims. The Richmond Police Department released a statement announcing the arrests and detailed a range of charges including criminal abuse, incest, rape, and human trafficking.
The arrests were made following a collaborative investigation by the police department, Child Protective Services, and the Department for Community Based Services. It led to criminal charges against multiple family members residing in the same home. Seven minors, between the ages of 1 and 17, have been placed with Social Services for their safety.
The police department’s spokesperson indicated that bail amounts have been set between $50,000 and $125,000 for each arrested individual. Although the specific relationships among the accused remain unclear, all were reportedly living together, and the children have been taken from the residence.
