Judge Adam Levy is set to debut his new courtroom show, “Adam’s Law,” this month. Levy feels prepared for this venture, noting that he learned from his mother, the renowned Judge Judy Sheindlin. Her show, “Judge Judy,” enjoyed massive success for over 25 years. Levy, who has starred in courtroom shows like “Justice on Trial” and “Tribunal Justice,” is ready to step into the spotlight.
Prior to his television career, Levy served two terms as the Putnam County District Attorney in New York. While he was one of three judges on “Tribunal,” he will be the sole judge for “Adam’s Law,” which is produced by CBS Media Ventures and premieres Monday.
“We dive into the nitty-gritty,” Levy stated in an interview with Fox News Digital.
Levy emphasized the importance of details in his show. He explained that they ensure all information is verified, checking backgrounds when necessary to ensure truthfulness in cases.
During a recent taping, Levy presided over two cases where the plaintiffs became emotional. Despite understanding the human element, Levy focuses on facts, stating that the law prioritizes facts over feelings. He handles cases with varying claims, from low-dollar amounts to significant sums.
Levy’s transition to his own show came after encouragement from Judge Judy. He expressed readiness, crediting his mother for acknowledging his skill development.
Reflecting on his upbringing, Levy shared that growing up as a latchkey kid due to his mother’s demanding schedule now inspires him. He follows her work ethic, preparing rigorously for his shows.
“It’s much easier when you love what you do,” Levy concluded.
“Adam’s Law” is a creation of Judge Judy Sheindlin, produced by Queen Bee Productions. The show premiered recently in national syndication.
