He conveyed his desire to avoid controversy during the finals. “People know my stance well. I would like to do many things, but reality shows that my influence is limited,” Iglesias stated.

Trump will attend the World Cup final, having participated in the trophy presentation at the FIFA Club World Cup. He remained on stage for the celebration ceremony. Previously, Trump received the FIFA Peace Prize from Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, during the World Cup 2026 Official Draw at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in December 2025.
