Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson paid tribute to Benjamin Satterley, the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star who passed away on Sunday at 40. Satterley, known in WWE as Adrian Neville and Neville, joined AEW in 2019 as Pac and captured several championships in both AEW and WWE.
Johnson expressed his condolences through an Instagram video, offering support to the Satterley family. He highlighted the close-knit nature of the wrestling community, despite its global reach.
As global as professional wrestling is, we’re still a very tight-knit unit. And that is our love and our passion for the squared circle and to perform for audiences around the world. But when we lose one of our own, it hurts.
He directly addressed AEW owner Tony Khan, wrestler QT Marshall, and the AEW team, acknowledging their loss.
“For the Satterley family, I wish you love and light as you endure this pain and stay strong,” Johnson added.
Johnson is a board member of TKO, WWE’s parent company. WWE dedicated a tribute graphic to Neville during “Monday Night Raw.” AEW planned a tribute special of “Dynamite” to honor Satterley on Wednesday night.
Satterley was found deceased in Illinois shortly after participating in All Out on Sunday. Ryan Gaydos, a senior editor for Fox News Digital, reported his passing.
