Homeland Security Refutes Claims on Immigration Arrest Directives
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has disputed reports suggesting that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were advised to refrain from arresting suspected illegal migrants not accused of crimes. The DHS emphasized that “no one is off the table” in enforcement actions.
The initial report, published by the Daily Wire, claimed ICE officers were instructed to focus only on illegal migrants with criminal charges or convictions. These assertions were based on anonymous agency sources.
In response, the DHS issued a statement on the social media platform X, asserting, “This is false. No one is off the table. We will continue to arrest any and all illegal aliens that come into our path. Anyone in our country illegally will be arrested and deported.”
As part of efforts to safeguard American citizens, ICE has launched a nationwide public safety initiative targeting sanctuary cities. The initiative focuses on the arrest of criminal illegal aliens, particularly those previously released from jails by sanctuary city policies. Targeted individuals include offenders such as murderers, rapists, child predators, and gang members.
