Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson faces a significant year in his accomplished NFL career. At 29, Jackson is aware of the urgency as he approaches Year 9. In an interview with CBS Sports’ Evan Washburn, Jackson reflected on the fleeting nature of time, acknowledging his advancing age and the influx of new players in the league. He emphasized the persistent urgency to win, stating, “Once I get one [Super Bowl ring], it’s still going to be urgent to get another.”

To overcome his playoff challenges, Jackson will rely heavily on his receivers. He recently showcased a playful moment with teammates Zay Flowers and Ja’Kobi Lane, sharing an Instagram Story video of them together on a roller coaster at the Mall of America. Their laughter and screams were captured as the coaster descended, highlighting their camaraderie.

The Ravens are currently in Minnesota for joint practice sessions with the Minnesota Vikings. This is in preparation for their upcoming preseason game at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday.

Jackson, a two-time NFL MVP and three-time All-Pro, is eager to move past a season marred by injuries, during which he played only 13 games. The Ravens concluded the season with an 8-9 record, missing the playoffs. This resulted in the dismissal of longtime head coach John Harbaugh. Jesse Minter, former Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator, now steps in as head coach. He faces the challenge of delivering immediate success.

Jackson and the Ravens will begin their journey to secure a long-awaited Super Bowl victory against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 13.
