Accused Assassin Seeks to Block Murder Video
Lawyers for Tyler Robinson, charged with the assassination of Charlie Kirk, aim to prevent the murder video from being shown during an upcoming hearing. They plan to argue that prosecutors should be removed from the case due to a conflict of interest.
Settlement in Tennessee Professor Lawsuit
Tamar Shirinian, a former professor at the University of Tennessee, will receive a $1.9 million settlement. She was disciplined due to her social media posts criticizing Charlie Kirk, who was murdered during his ‘American Comeback Tour’ at Utah Valley University.
Shirinian faced administrative leave after calling Kirk a ‘disgusting psychopath’ and stating the world was better off without him. This sparked controversy, leading to her eventual dismissal.
The world is better off without him in it. His kids are better off living in a world without a disgusting psychopath like him.
Following criticism, Shirinian apologized for her remarks, saying they were ‘insensitive’ and ‘uncharacteristic.’
University of Tennessee’s Response
UT Chancellor Donde Plowman informed Shirinian that her words celebrated a gruesome murder and mocked the grief of the victim’s family.
Shirinian’s attorney, Robb Bigelow, expressed satisfaction with the resolution, acknowledging the difficulty of litigation. He expressed gratitude to all parties involved in reaching a settlement and wished success to the University of Tennessee.
The University declined to comment further, referring to statements made in a recent board meeting.
Incident at Utah Valley University
Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was killed while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was shot in the neck during the event, which was part of his ‘American Comeback Tour.’
A spokesperson for Shirinian and Robinson reported on developments in the case, emphasizing ongoing legal challenges.
For additional information, Fox News Digital reached out to Shirinian’s attorney and attempted to contact Shirinian for further comments.
