Mickie James Set to Appear at TNA’s Bound for Glory

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) icon Mickie James will be a featured guest at Bound for Glory, scheduled for next weekend. This marks TNA’s most significant event of the year. During this week’s episode of ‘Impact,’ fans were treated to a nostalgic moment as a vignette aired. It showcased an old logo on a crate that, when opened, emitted a powerful beam of light. As the lighting faded, a white cowgirl hat and denim jacket became visible. The scene concluded with a woman placing the hat on her head.

Mickie James, widely recognized in the wrestling community, has left a lasting impression with her ‘Hardcore Country’ entrance theme. Over the years, James has had several tenures with TNA. Her journey with TNA began in 2002 under the National Wrestling Alliance. After a year, she transitioned to WWE before returning to TNA in 2010. Upon her comeback, she immediately engaged in a rivalry with Madison Rayne. In April 2011, James claimed the TNA Knockouts Championship, marking a historic achievement as she became the first woman to hold the TNA Knockouts Championship, WWE Women’s Championship, and WWE Divas Championship. Throughout her career, she has accumulated five Knockouts titles.

From 2021 to 2023, James once again became part of the TNA roster. Earlier in this year, she faced off against the Elegance Brand at No Surrender, continuing her appearances in subsequent ‘Impact’ installments. Last year, she received the honor of being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame.

Her participation is among many anticipated highlights for Bound for Glory, taking place on Sunday, October 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. The event will feature four championship matches. A notable highlight is the six-way scramble for the vacant TNA X Division Championship, featuring competitors like Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Ryan Nemeth, and BDE. Additionally, a Knockouts Championship face-off between Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell will captivate fans.

The TNA International Championship will see Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Special Agent Zero vying for the title. Furthermore, current champion Nic Nemeth will confront Leon Slater for the TNA World Championship. In other matches, Ricky Sosa will compete against Eddie Edwards, while Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw challenge The Hardys in a Falls Count Anywhere contest. A Call Your Shot Gauntlet is also scheduled, granting the victor a future championship opportunity.

This promises to be an exciting weekend for wrestling enthusiasts.
