Ongoing Search for Missing Fitness Trainer in South Carolina

The search continues for Elena Katherine Moore, a 39-year-old fitness trainer who vanished after leaving a gym in South Carolina. She was last observed late on June 11 at a Planet Fitness in Lexington, a place she regularly attended. Her husband, Brannon Slice, reported her disappearance the next day.

Authorities have not made any contact with Moore since she was reported missing. As of early Wednesday, Lexington Police Department Inspector Missy Silcox confirmed that Moore remains unlocated. She noted there are no signs of foul play at this stage, and Mr. Slice is not considered a person of interest currently.

Brannon Slice is reportedly cooperating with the investigators. Harry Dukes of Dukes Investigations & Consulting in Columbia states that there is ongoing collaboration in the effort to find Moore.

Late Tuesday, police shared photographs of Moore walking through a Publix parking lot after leaving the Planet Fitness at 560 Whiteford Way. She seemed to be moving towards Old Cherokee Road, dressed in an olive-green hoodie and black athletic pants. Another image from a doorbell camera, captured a week before her disappearance, was also released.

Drones have been deployed in the effort to locate Moore, who is employed as a personal trainer at Wolf’s Fitness Center in Lexington. The center confirmed to Newsweek that they are assisting police with all available information.

Lauren Beasley, a friend of Moore, mentioned that their last conversation occurred about a month ago. Beasley stated that Moore did not share any personal problems during their talk. Although married last year, Moore did not mention any issues related to her relationship or job. Beasley noted Moore’s unusual absence from social media, describing her month-long silence as uncharacteristic.

Dukes Investigations & Consulting is offering a reward of $1,500 for leads on Moore’s location. On Facebook, they urged residents to review their security cameras for potential sightings of Moore, who has been missing for six days.

“Mrs. Elena Katherine Moore has now been missing for six days,” company officials wrote while requesting public assistance.

Harry Dukes commented on the new photos but acknowledged the lack of comprehensive insight into her whereabouts. He mentioned Moore’s active lifestyle, suggesting that being seen walking isn’t unusual.

Dukes also reported that Moore’s husband is deeply troubled by her disappearance. He urged anyone who might see Moore to contact the authorities. Moore is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
