I recall fondly the Southeastern Conference (SEC) days when getting into big college football games involved a simple $20 handshake. Times have changed significantly. Nowadays, individuals like Blake Bible take drastic actions to attend mid-season games with playoff implications.
“Police found Bible sipping a White Claw while dressed in an Axis security uniform, the company contracted to manage events at the University of Tennessee, near the G10 ramp on Phillip Fulmer Way,” reported the authorities, just before 3:30 p.m.
October 17, 2026, marked the day the Tennessee Volunteers faced the Alabama Crimson Tide at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn. The security company accused Bible of allegedly stealing a shirt and hat worn by their employees during games.
The College Football Playoff: Concerns over Expansion
With a proposed expansion to a 24-team playoff, there are concerns about its impact. Important SEC and Big Ten teams might lose three games and still make the playoffs. Will this lead to fewer instances where college-aged individuals resort to stealing security uniforms just to attend games?

Troy Aikman and Joe Buck: An Icy Broadcast
Recently, Troy Aikman didn’t deny ongoing tensions with fellow broadcaster Joe Buck. Their recent collaboration in the broadcast booth lacked the usual friendly banter, leading to a more business-like atmosphere.
ESPN considering allowing Troy Aikman to leave the booth is baffling, as Bobby Burack pointed out.
Speculations arise on who might replace Aikman if he departs. McAfee is a strong contender, given he already travels with the Monday Night pregame show and hosts the MNF alt-cast.
New Fans Discover Screencaps: A Positive Shift
Increasing numbers of new fans are discovering Screencaps via the Fox News homepage. Keith R., from Pittsburgh, shared his experience.
“I am 60 years old, and technology puzzles me. I’m not sure how I found your column, but I’m glad I did. I love reading it. If subscribing is possible, I will.”
Keith’s message highlighted his preference for muted sports broadcasts, critiquing announcers and analysts, often referring to them as “Captain Obvious.” His suggested alternative was the skycast, minimizing commentary and focusing solely on game essentials.
Kinsey expressed gratitude for Keith’s engagement with the column, noting some readers left due to changes, while many loyal Fox readers remained. Individuals like Keith exemplify the business plan’s success.
The Hunt Family: New Developments
Knobel Hunt, part of the family poised to inherit the Kansas City Chiefs, is often overshadowed due to his banking career in New York City. His new Swedish girlfriend made headlines amidst familial events, such as Gracie Hunt’s upcoming marriage to Trent Green’s son and Ava Hunt’s participation in SMU cheerleading.
Door-Holding Etiquette: A National Dilemma?
There’s debate regarding the etiquette of holding doors for individuals too far away to justify holding it. Should there be a distance rule for holding doors? Suggestions include a car length or half-car length rule.
