As anticipation builds for next year’s Super Bowl halftime show, speculation is rife about who will headline the event. Although the NFL and Roc Nation have not officially announced the performer for Super Bowl LXI scheduled for February 2027, prediction markets are buzzing with guesses. Two prominent prediction platforms, Kalshi and Polymarket, suggest that Jay-Z is a strong contender.
Data from Kalshi indicates that there is a 91 percent likelihood of Jay-Z headlining the event, while Polymarket shows even greater odds in his favor. Jay-Z, who founded Roc Nation, has played a pivotal role in selecting and co-producing the Super Bowl halftime performances since 2020, yet he has not headlined the show himself.
Other potential names floated include Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Harry Styles, Post Malone, and Dua Lipa, though their odds are significantly lower compared to Jay-Z.
It’s important to highlight that prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket are similar to stock markets in that they prohibit insider trading. Despite this, rumors have swirled partly due to a report from Puck claiming Jay-Z may have chosen himself as the performer based on information from unnamed sources.
The Super Bowl halftime performer typically gets announced months in advance. Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar were confirmed as headliners for Super Bowls LX and LIX, respectively, in September of the preceding year. Therefore, an official announcement from the NFL is anticipated soon.
Jesse Collins, the co-producer of the halftime show, confirmed to Variety in 2014 that Jay-Z has consistently made the final decision on the show’s performer since Roc Nation began its involvement. Collins praised Jay-Z’s choices, referring to them as exemplary.
