Swedish Fans Discover Buc-ee’s During Texas World Cup Visit
Swedish soccer fans have made their way to Texas to cheer for their team against the Netherlands in the World Cup. Their visit led to several eye-opening experiences, one being the discovery of a notable gas station with a beaver mascot: Buc-ee’s.
One Swedish fan gained attention online for his enthusiastic reaction upon encountering Buc-ee’s. As Houston’s KHOU interviewed World Cup fans, a particular interaction turned into an impromptu commercial for Buc-ee’s.
A reporter inquired about the fan’s cowboy hat. The fan excitedly explained, “From Buc-ee’s! So go, Buc-ee’s. Great place. I love the beef jerky. We love the cowboy style!”
Buc-ee’s seems to captivate both international visitors and Americans alike. The extensive variety of offerings, including brisket sandwiches and a wide array of jerky options, leaves visitors impressed. Notably, even their restrooms offer artwork displays.
Fans from places like Linköping or Malmö, unaccustomed to giant soda cups, find Buc-ee’s a cultural marvel. The sight of the enormous store prompts purchases of items like cowboy hats.
Despite the discovery, the day proved difficult for the Swedish team. The Netherlands delivered a decisive 5-1 victory, dominating Group F. Perhaps a return trip to Buc-ee’s could provide some comfort, maybe with a Texas cheesesteak burrito.
