The Tennessee Titans encountered a tough start this NFL season but found a moment of triumph in Week 6. They claimed their first win by overcoming the Indianapolis Colts, 26-20.
This victory was a highlight, albeit brief, before the Titans made news with a roster change. On Tuesday, the team released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott following an ‘incident’ at their facility. Details about the incident remain undisclosed.
Elliott joined the Titans this year under head coach Robert Saleh after playing with him for the San Francisco 49ers. In the current season, Elliott contributed 11 tackles across five games.
‘On Thursday, Oct. 15, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott. Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter,’ the Titans stated.
Meanwhile, defensive back Alontae Taylor missed a game due to a coach’s decision. Details about his absence weren’t shared. Taylor, before this, played in all of the Titans’ defensive snaps in the season’s five opening games. He signed a significant contract with the team, valued at $58 million for three years.
Looking ahead, the Titans gear up to host the Cleveland Browns, the current leaders in the AFC North, at Nissan Stadium.
