A couple popular on TikTok faces serious charges after their alleged involvement in an arson case in West Virginia. The incident occurred when a vacant home was set ablaze, potentially causing over $10,000 in damage to a nearby church.
Details of the Incident
The couple, Dakota Harper, 21, and Felicity Eatmon, 22, both face charges of first-degree arson and conspiracy, which could result in life sentences if convicted. They are recognized on social media, amassing 28,000 followers on TikTok.
Harper’s arraignment gained attention due to his physical appearance. Court records describe him as 3-foot, 9-inch tall and 43 pounds. During the hearing, he sat in a chair, later adjusted by an officer, revealing his small stature. Eatmon appeared alongside Harper, standing at 5 feet, 1 inch.
Surveillance and Arrest
The fire was reported at 11:15 p.m. Sunday in Charleston’s West Side. Surveillance footage allegedly captured the pair involved in the act. Eatmon reportedly handed Harper a paper, which was ignited and placed inside the home.
The house lacked active utilities and was empty. However, the fire severely impacted the neighboring Canaan United Methodist Church, leaving substantial damage.
Current Status
Both suspects are now detained on a $10,000 bond each. Their social media presence and the nature of the crime have drawn considerable attention. Any developments in the case could further engage public and media interest.
The case highlights the impact social media figures can have on public events and the serious nature of the charges they potentially face.
