Previously a podcaster and Fox News host, Carlson recently renounced his Republican affiliation. He characterized himself as a loyal backer of Republican ideals for 35 years but argued that the party has deviated from its core “America first” principles under Trump.

In the same interview, Carlson outlined potential policies for his proposed party, including a stance against immigration. He asserted that immigration contributes to unemployment, a claim many economists dispute.
