Yankees Face Rotation Challenges Amid Injuries

The Yankees have utilized 11 different starting pitchers this season. Cam Schlittler leads with 21 starts, while Ryan Weathers and Will Warren follow with the most innings as starters. Weathers has shown promising statistics with a lower WHIP and higher strikeouts per nine innings, though his win-loss record is 3-7, which cannot be ignored.

Will Warren recently made his second career relief appearance in the team’s 2-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. This suggests Boone might be testing him in a bullpen role. However, with three key pitchers over the age of 30, the Yankees must be wary of further injuries. Any changes in the rotation could be temporary as a result.
