Vice President JD Vance arrived in Switzerland early Sunday to initiate discussions with Iran. The Trump administration aims to solidify a lasting agreement after a ceasefire was recently established.
Vance landed shortly before 6 a.m. local time. He will join White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump, for the negotiations. Swiss authorities confirmed Saturday that the Iranian delegation was en route to Bürgenstock, the site of the discussions. Initially planned for Friday, the talks involving the U.S., Iran, Qatar, and Pakistan were postponed by Switzerland’s foreign ministry.
