Brooke Hogan has expressed her frustration over what she describes as “fake, greedy people” who profited from her late father, Hulk Hogan, following the sale of his Florida home. Recently, the wrestling icon’s 5,400-square-foot beachfront mansion in Clearwater Beach sold for $5.9 million, down from its original listing of nearly $11 million in January, according to TMZ. A neighboring guest cottage sold for $2.8 million.
Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, passed away at 71 in July 2025 after suffering cardiac arrest at his Clearwater Beach residence. The cause of death was a heart attack.
On Monday, Brooke took to Instagram Stories with emotional posts about losing the home where she shared memories with her father. She accused unnamed friends and family of exploiting him for personal gain.
The 38-year-old TV personality claimed some individuals only appeared near the end of her father’s life to benefit financially. “The sick feeling is indescribable,” she wrote, sharing a photo of the sold house. She noted that the house was where her father and his ex-wife Jennifer McDaniel planned to grow old together.
Brooke highlighted memories like surgeries, pool days, and workouts at the home. “We cooked, watched Jerry Springer, played music, and cried,” she recalled, emphasizing how deeply rooted the memories were in that house.
She criticized people who, she said, profited from the sale and lamented the exploitation of her father. “Just like him… used for everyone else’s gain,” Brooke concluded.
Brooke uploaded a picture posing with Hulk near the house, stating, “Let’s not forget who was there for the 15 years before the vultures swooped in.” She shared more images from her time with her father, noting her deep affection for him.
She also discussed her and McDaniel’s roles as caregivers during Hulk’s health issues. Brooke praised Jennifer McDaniel for her dedication, calling her time-consuming effort “more than anyone else.” She added that McDaniel did not seek money after her divorce from Hulk.
Brooke recalled memories of hospital visits and surgeries, showcasing Hulk’s resilience. In one post, she pointed out that Hulk was often surrounded by few people in critical moments despite public perceptions, emphasizing who truly supported him.
She described WWE’s tribute to Hulk, stating that many who were part of the tribute did not support her father when needed. “I’ve had to hear everyone say I’m the jerk… they were there AT the end. To collect,” she vented.
Brooke later clarified that her criticism was not directed at WWE stars, but at those who falsely claimed to support her father. She accused them of engaging more for public attention than genuine support.
Brooke appraised certain people who benefitted at Hulk’s expense, accusing them of pretending friendship in exchange for monetary gain. She expressed disappointment at those who didn’t fulfill promises made after Hulk’s passing.
Hulk and Brooke’s close father-daughter bond was well-documented in “Hogan Knows Best.” They became estranged, however, in the last two years of his life.
In July 2023, Hulk altered his will, excluding Brooke and her descendants, naming her brother Nick as the beneficiary of his estate. Brooke later revealed her decision to step away, citing emotional disagreements as the reason for their estrangement.
