Brooks Nader, a Sports Illustrated model and actress, is joining the ‘Baywatch’ reboot and has received unexpected approval from her conservative parents. As a child, bikinis were not allowed by her family, but her role in the show requires the iconic one-piece red swimsuit, which aligns with her family’s past rules.
Nader was seen at the 2026 FOX Upfront event in New York City, promoting the reboot of ‘Baywatch’. Despite the conservative attire she wore growing up, her new role has her parents’ full support as it adheres to their dress code preferences. The show is set to premiere in January 2027.
“Well, they’re pumped about ‘Baywatch’ because it’s a one-piece [swimsuit]—we weren’t allowed to wear two-piece bikinis growing up,” Nader commented during the event.
In the modern revival of the series, Nader plays Selene, a captain of the Zuma Beach Lifeguards. She expressed excitement and disbelief about wearing the red swimsuit while attending the event dressed in a red minidress.
She recounted her sisters’ jealous reactions to her role, humorously noting their envy when she flaunts the swimsuit.
The original ‘Baywatch’ series, famous for boosting the fame of stars like Pamela Anderson, aired from 1989 to 1999. Nader acknowledged the challenge of meeting the expectations set by the original series, especially when it comes to Anderson’s legacy.
“Pamela Anderson was the muse of all muses…we’re going to pay homage to Pam and all the muses of ‘Baywatch’ to the best of our ability,” Nader stated.
FOX plans to reintroduce this iconic beach drama to new audiences. Alongside Nader, influencers Noah Beck and Livvy Dunne are also participating in the reboot. This strategic move aims to broaden the show’s appeal.
The new iteration of ‘Baywatch’ has already stirred excitement online, as fans are eager to see how the classic series will be refreshed with new characters and storylines. Nader considers this project a thrilling opportunity and looks forward to its debut.
For Nader, the experience of donning the same swimsuit that once defined a cultural icon is both exhilarating and surreal. The premiere of the modernized ‘Baywatch’ is eagerly awaited by long-time fans and newcomers alike.
