Hulk Hogan’s Death Ruled Natural Causes
Hulk Hogan, the iconic wrestling figure, passed away last year from natural causes. This determination was made public in a report by Florida police, marking the conclusion of their investigation into his death. Terry Bollea, known globally as Hulk Hogan, died on July 24 at the age of 71.
The Clearwater Police Department issued a 72-page report detailing their thorough investigation. It included reviews of statements, medical records, surveillance footage, and a visual examination of the body. According to the report, there was no evidence indicating any criminal activity in Hogan’s death. The case is now closed.
At home during his final moments were his wife, Sky Daily Hogan, a home health aide, and an occupational therapist. When Hogan stopped breathing, they called 911 and performed CPR until emergency services arrived. Family members revealed Hogan battled multiple health issues before his death, such as leukemia, an irregular heart rhythm, pneumonia, and kidney failure. He had been hospitalized and undergone surgeries several times.
Speculation arose from early statements by the occupational therapist, suggesting damage to Hogan’s phrenic nerve during a recent surgery contributed to his death. However, the therapist later retracted, clarifying he was unsettled after performing CPR. The medical examiner ruled Hogan’s death as a heart attack and didn’t complete a full autopsy. A private autopsy, funded by the family, supported the initial findings, showing no traumatic or toxicological causes.
Hogan, a prominent figure in WWE, left an indelible mark on wrestling. He headlined the first WrestleMania in 1985 and battled renowned wrestlers like Andre The Giant and The Rock. Hogan claimed at least six WWE championships, entered the Hall of Fame in 2005, and was reinstated in 2018 after an earlier removal following a racial slur scandal for which he apologized.
A private funeral service was held for Hogan in Largo, Florida, attended by many admirers of the wrestling legend.
