Jay-Z will take center stage at the Super Bowl LXI halftime show, set for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This announcement was made during the halftime of the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game, confirming the rapper as the headliner for the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show.
Apple Music excitingly declared the news on X, signaling the much-anticipated performance. This announcement follows speculation and reports indicating Jay-Z’s selection over other prominent artists such as Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Harry Styles.
Known for his profound influence on the industry, Jay-Z, alongside his company Roc Nation, has been instrumental in producing and choosing talent for the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell noted Jay-Z’s significant impact and expressed his excitement for fans to witness Jay-Z’s artistry and cultural contribution on such a tremendous platform.
Jay-Z is familiar with the SoFi Stadium, having concluded his Jay-Z 30 Tour there with shows on October 23 and 24. This tour celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut album, “Reasonable Doubt.” Notably, the tour’s Yankee Stadium shows grossed over $42 million. Throughout his career, Jay-Z has received 25 Grammy Awards and became the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His album “4:44” was released in 2017.
While Jay-Z has yet to grace the Super Bowl stage, his wife, Beyoncé, has made her mark there. She headlined the 2013 halftime show and participated in the 2016 event alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
