Josh Jacobs’ Domestic Violence Allegations: Dispatch Audio and Arrest Details
Newly released dispatch audio provides additional details on the domestic violence allegations involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs. The audio, obtained by TMJ 4, includes a dispatcher relaying information to police officers about “yelling and screaming” from an open line within Jacobs’ residence in Wisconsin.
The dispatcher informed the officer about sounds of a possible altercation. “Things being thrown, open line,” the dispatcher said. “…Possibly a male and female.” Furthermore, a neighbor reported a disturbance to dispatch, claiming an assault had occurred in Jacobs’ home.
When the authorities reached the residence, Jacobs was absent. He had departed in his Mercedes G-Wagon, but police tracked the vehicle through license plate readers. A police alert advised stopping the vehicle if found on the road. Jacobs was later arrested on Tuesday after an investigation by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department. He faces five charges related to domestic abuse.
According to the police department, Jacobs was booked into Brown County Jail. The charges include domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse criminal damage to property, domestic abuse disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim. Strangulation and suffocation is classified as a felony, while the other charges are misdemeanors.
Jacobs’ attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff and Clarence Duchac, have stated that Jacobs denies the allegations against him. “Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public,” they said, urging for fairness during the judicial process.
The NFL has been informed and has contacted the Packers organization. The Packers have refrained from commenting, citing the ongoing investigation. In his second season with the Packers, Jacobs recorded 929 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns during the 2025 season. Previously, in 2024, he achieved 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Jacobs previously played five seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, leading the league with 1,653 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in the 2022 season.
