Kansas City Chiefs Sign Justin Tucker Amid Controversy

The Kansas City Chiefs have stirred a major controversy within the NFL by adding kicker Justin Tucker to their practice squad. Tucker, who faced serious allegations of sexual misconduct involving 16 Baltimore-based massage therapists between 2012 and 2016, has not played since 2024 after being released by the Baltimore Ravens.

Following the announcement, the decision sparked immediate backlash on social media. Fans criticized the Chiefs for recruiting a player with such a controversial past. They also revisited a previous clash involving Tucker and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce from 2024.

During the AFC Championship Game that year, Tucker was accused of being disruptive by stretching in the designated warm-up area of the Chiefs’ offense. Travis Kelce intervened by moving Tucker’s equipment out of the way, expressing his frustration at what he saw as Tucker’s lack of consideration.

Kelce later addressed the situation on his podcast, “New Heights.” He explained that players should respect designated areas during warm-ups, stating, “If you’re trying to go to the other team’s designated area, you kind of stay out of their way. You don’t interfere with what they have going on. That’s the unwritten rule.” Kelce also hinted at the encounter being confrontational, but acknowledged Tucker’s behavior appeared playful.

Chiefs fans unearthed a video of Kelce discussing the incident, adding humor to the current situation where the two are now teammates. Social media buzzed with comments reflecting on the irony and potential tension of their newfound association.

“Maybe the Chiefs just did this so Kelce can bully Tucker on the regular,” one fan joked.

Another fan added, “Tucker was never the same after Travis put a curse on him and now they’re teammates, what are we doing.” The comedic anticipation of awkward interactions during practice sessions became a common theme among fans online.
