The danger came from a 600-pound fridge that fell and pinned her against the counter. It happened as Clery was preparing for bed. She described the moment the fridge “slammed” into her, rendering her unable to move or breathe properly. In her social media post, she expressed genuine uncertainty about her survival, especially with her children present in the house.

Clery was fortunate to have her phone with her and was able to call 911. She expressed relief that the fridge did not fall on her children. The rescue required three firefighters to lift the heavy appliance off her. Following the incident, Clery said she’s still shaking from the experience.
