Trump Nominates Keith Sonderling as Labor Secretary

The nomination follows the tenure of former Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer. Chavez-DeRemer, a past Republican congresswoman, resigned after accusations surrounding civil rights violations and alleged inappropriate conduct with an employee. Reports also indicated her frequent absence from the office. Chavez-DeRemer has consistently denied the accusations.
