According to KOLO 8 News, citing the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, the causes ranged from cardiovascular disease to drug toxicity.
Details of the Fatalities
The first individual, a 62-year-old man from Santa Monica, California, collapsed and died at the festival’s Rampart Medical Center on September 3. His death resulted from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
The second case involved a 51-year-old man from Truckee, California, who experienced chest pain and died in an ambulance on September 4. His death was associated with methamphetamine and MDMA toxicity, heart disease, and Type 2 diabetes. Chronic methamphetamine use also played a role.
The third individual, aged 60 from Yuma, Arizona, was found deceased in his vehicle. The cause was cocaine and methamphetamine toxicity, with cardiovascular disease as a contributing factor.
