Evaluating Candidate Promises in Nebraska
The Nebraska Test provides a useful approach during election season. As candidates engage with Nebraskans and request their votes, it’s crucial to scrutinize their pledges, crisis identifications, and blame assignments.
Whenever a candidate makes a promise or points out an issue, use these five questions to evaluate their statements:
- What specific actions will accompany the promise?
- How will the candidate measure success?
- What resources are needed, and where will they come from?
- What are the possible hurdles?
- How does this plan differ from previous efforts?
Given the current political landscape, understanding the answers to these questions helps citizens make well-informed decisions at the polls.
Recently, during a rally at the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center in Grand Island, Nebraska, President Trump introduced Sen. Pete Ricketts on stage. The event highlighted the active political campaigns in the state.
