Spencer Pratt Criticizes Bass’s Homelessness Program
Spencer Pratt, Los Angeles mayoral candidate, has spoken out against Mayor Karen Bass. His criticism follows her comments on internal resistance within the city’s homelessness program.
Pratt claims the system is riddled with corruption, referencing a CNN interview where Bass indicated difficulties due to bureaucracy. Reports suggest $418 million spent on homelessness, but only 10% effectively helped people off the streets.
In a discussion on “Saturday in America,” Pratt accused Bass and her partners of benefitting from the ongoing crisis.
“The NGOs are stealing billions to increase drug addicts naked on our sidewalks. She’s complicit,” said Pratt.
Pratt’s Mayoral Campaign Gains Momentum
Pratt’s campaign is gaining traction. Despite previous setbacks, he holds strong beliefs in his faith-driven mission to make the city safer, especially for mothers and children.
He argues that the current administration profits from homelessness and vows stringent oversight if he becomes mayor.
“I will have full accountability and transparency for every dollar,” Pratt stated, focusing on his commitment against the homelessness industrial complex.
Allegations and Campaign Developments
Pratt also accused Bass of violating election law by campaigning too close to voting locations. A spokesperson for Bass refuted the claims, asserting compliance with election rules.
Debate performance and campaign ads continue to bolster Pratt’s campaign. His previous involvement gained attention after the Palisades Fire incident.
Pratt recently filed legal complaints against Bass for “illegal electioneering.” His complaint highlights proximity concerns related to the voting locations during Bass’s campaign events.
A spokesperson defended Bass with evidence, suggesting Pratt’s claims are false.
The mayoral race in Los Angeles remains intensely competitive, with both candidates employing contrasting strategies to appeal to voters.
