Costa Rican Authorities Seek Woman in Connection with American’s Homicide

Costa Rican authorities are actively searching for a woman suspected in the homicide of an American citizen found dead in late September. The country’s Judicial Investigation Agency, akin to the FBI, requests public assistance in identifying the suspect involved in the case.

On September 27, a 74-year-old American named Fleming was discovered dead at a condominium in Playas del Coco. This town lies along Costa Rica’s northern Pacific coast and is known for its popularity among tourists.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect, a woman allegedly seen leaving the condo without Fleming. Authorities later found his body with head injuries likely inflicted by blunt objects.

The suspect remains unidentified but is described as having a fair complexion, slender build, black hair, and standing approximately 1.60 meters tall. During the incident, she was reported wearing blue denim shorts, sandals, and a white bra adorned with chain-like accessories. Another woman accompanied her in the security videos released by police.

The Judicial Investigation Agency urges anyone with information about this case or the woman’s identity to contact them at 800-800-0645.
